Joe Wilson, the former school superintendent of Tuskegee Al and Sumter County Ga Schools, once told me that humans were the filthiest creatures in the animal kingdom. I thought this was a harsh statement until I started observing animals up close while making my way through piles of litter on our streets. Even this slow moving mammoth has the energy to pick up litter and dispose of it. I wish I could borrow him for Charles Street near the Fields Corner T stop.
