Joel 2:15-21 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet. Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God? Then will the Lord be jealous for his land, and pity his people. Yea, the Lord will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen: But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things. Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things. As we look at this passage of scripture tonight, I know that we have read this passage many times and talked about it a great deal. However the Lord has laid it on my heart again tonight, and in the days that we are living in, we need the trumpets to be sounded. Dear friends, we the in the church, we the Christians need to wake up!!!!!!! There are days of persecution coming to us in this country like we have never seen if were not careful!!!!!!!!! Look at where we are today compared with where we started from just a couple hundred years ago. Dear friends, as we have talked before, we have the answer. 2 Chronicles 7:14 gives us the answer, but we are not willing to do it. People, at least up til now, have not been willing to put ourselves aside and dedicate our lives to Him. We, the church in America have become just like the church of Laodicia, we have become Luke Warm in our spiritual walk with the Lord, we have become just like the church of Ephesus, we have left our first love!!!!!!!!! You know we all sit around and talk about everything that is wrong, we gripe about them taking away our rights, but what are we doing about it? Friends talking about it at the coffee shop or griping about it at the grocery store will never fix the problems. It will take action, but are we willing to make the sacrifices needed to be a part of the action? To many have become spiritual cowards and are always waiting on somebody else to do it for them!!!!!!!!!!!! We need people that are willing to put there own desires aside and seek God for this Nation. And not only for this Nation, but for all those that are lost and dying without Jesus!!!!!!!!!! I wonder when we the church are going to get broken for our land? When are we going to wake up and become burdened for those that are on their way to hell? Im glad that there was somebody that cared enough about us to tell us the truth and pray for us souls. Why arent we worried enough about others to pray for their souls and tell them the truth? When are we going to wake up and realize that if we dont fall on our knees before God, and seek Him, and call out on Him, and repent of our sins soon, it will be to late for America? We sing God Bless America, but do we really mean it when we are singing it? The bible tells us in Matthew 28 and Acts 1 that He has called all of us christians to be witnesses for Him, in Romans He says that the gifts and callings of God are without repentance, so what are we waiting for, Why are we not spreading His word everywhere we go? Why have we allowed them to intimidate us into silence? Dear friends we need to wake up, we need to get dedicated to serving Him!!!!!!!!!! We need to come out from among the world and be counted as one of His!!!!!!!!! Romans tells us to be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds. It is way past time for us to return to serving God the way that we are called to do so. Dear friends, look around you, the signs have been given, the prophecies are being fulfilled, the trumpet, the alarm, the battle cry is sounding, but are we listening? Are we paying it any attention?
