Joey had a wonderful day! He took 2 bottles and drank 45 ml each time! His 8 o clock bottle he was too sleepy, and he has been snoozing since then. The blessing of having a g-tube is he doesnt have to be awake to be eating. I cant say enough how thankful we are to God for blessing our little guy. How thankful we are to all of you praying for him and for every person who has had a hand in his journey. We still have such a long and bumpy road ahead, but Joey has proven over and over how strong his will is, and how tough he can be. I am so glad God chose to make me his Momma and bring him into our family. He is a gift. I also have to say how thankful I am to be seeing my family tomorrow!!!!! I cant wait to hug my little girl Alyson, kiss my handsome hubby, hug my Mom and my father-in-law!! I have missed everyone so much. I hope I can sleep tonight despite my excitement. I had a nice day today. On top of Joey being himself again, I had special visits from LaMista and her Hubby who are here with Natalie who also has Jacobsens syndrome. She got tubes in her ears today. This family has been a source of strength and friendship. I also had nurses and staff come to check on me and Joey and just talk. It feels good to not be alone, and be surrounded by people who honestly care about you, your child, your family, and the whole situation. I have so many things to be thankful for right now. My heart is filled with JOY. Goodnight facebook friends and family, my prayer tonight will be that each of you get to experience this feeling in your own way, in your lives.
