Johan, thank you. Please note that this is unacceptably low, incomplete, and to say the least, again, an inaccurate DISGRACE! Several items were again missed. On the electrical side, R4000 for a complete rewiring and COC will have to result in a backyard job. There are: 8 light fittings in that wing, and 16 plug points, as well as 3 light switches. Also, no mention is made of the earth leakage that need replacement. The prices quoted are that of C-grade soft SA pine. Proper and acceptable construction timber will cost at least 25% more, or 30% more timber will have to be used. Does ABSA insurance really get C-Grade money from me? No mention is made of exterior finishes, such as facia, removing and refitting of gutters and downpipes or painting of the roof. Furthermore, the entire wiring layout of the alarm system in the area, as well as the alarm going to the outbuildings will have to be stripped out and refitted. This cost is not included, nor forms part of the repair quote of the alarm from the lightning strike. It thus needs to be additional. I think it will suffice to let tradesmen, qualified and experienced, as well as trusted in their firlds, do quotations on physical work, and let assessors assess the severity of damage. The quotation I supplied to ABSA Insulting Company is COMPLETE. Please refrain from any further corner-cutting. It is due to ABSA Insurance Company’s corner cutting policies, that I have suffered a further R97,000 damage. Kind regards
