Johanan Raatz Sam Butler You keep saying that falsification of things like local realism entails that materialism is false, but Ive noticed that I cant find this anywhere in the literature and whenever anyone looks this stuff up and how it relates to philosophical realism/idealism they find that you are actually the source of this whole thing and no one else on the planet is talking about it. Whenever you use the terms of quantum physics to disprove a philosophical view, you have to define those terms as physicists define them. For example, you and Dario have claimed that counterfactual definiteness = realism, yet the many worlds interpretation (which is invariably considered a realist interpretation) doesnt allow for counterfactual definiteness, so it follows that you must be using the word incorrectly. Local realism involves the principle of locality - that an object is influenced directly only by its immediate surroundings, which has nothing to do with the truth of metaphysical realism, and does not even begin to imply that there is no such thing as locations or space.
