John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, The Word was with God and the Word was God, He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things came to be, Not one thing had its being but through Him. All that came to be had life in Him, and that life was the light of all. A light that shines in the dark, a light that darkness could not over power! This Advent Season I ponder deeply the Prologue to the Gospel of St. John and the Infancy Narratives found in St. Matthew and St.Luke. Matthew tells us the stories through the eyes of Joseph, and Luke tenderly speaks speaks to us through the lovely family stories told through the heart of Mary. Jesus is the Word, Jesus, the second person of the Blessed Trinity, Jesus is the life that gives light to all. Jesus is the light that shines in the darkness, the light that darkness cannot over power. All of creation was created through Jesus, the only Son of the Father; Today we begin the Season of Advent, a time to prepare our hearts for a deeper relationship with Jesus, the true meaning of this season. Can I truly believe when I say: I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Gather before all ages, God from God, Light From Light, true God from true God, Begotten not made, consubstantial with Katherine Father; Through Him all things were made, For us men, and for our salvation, He came down from heaven and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. In every human heart there is a place that waits to be filled by the divine. I pray: Lord I lay my heart in Your hands and I ask you to mold my heart this Advent, to fully embrace You at Christmas in the manger. My soul yearns for Your presence. N my mind Lord, there are mysteries that can only be answered by things of heaven, This Advent Season I open my heart, soul and mind to more fully experience the story of how The Word became flesh and dwells among us., the story of how God visited the earth. Holy Spirit help me to be ready and waiting as I call upon Your presence... O come Emmanuel. God be with us! John 1:16-17 From Him we have all received, grace in return for grace. Though the Law was given through Moses, grace and truth have Come through Jesus Christ! I go to sleep singing: Lord I believe You are the Christ, You were born of a virgin, You taught, healed , suffered and died. I know that You will Come again; I know that You are alive! In His Love!
