John 1:12 Amplified Bible (AMP) 12 But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name. But to as many as received His Person or Personality[His Spirit], to them does He give the power and ability to manifest as children of God in every area of life, because His power and ability is in His Person[His Spirit]. Remember, not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit[Person] says the Lord of host (Zechariah 4:6)....for without Me[My Person, or My Spirit] you cannot do anything I need you to do (John 15:5)... I can do all things through Christ[in me] that strengthen[enables, or empowers] me (Philippians 4:13). So, you cannot manifest as a child or an elect of God if you dont receive His Person, nature, or Spirit. It is the Spirit in you that powers you up to do the things of the Spirit.
