John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Here is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! John 3:16 “For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. What can we gain in knowledge from these two verses regarding the consequences of our sinful life? For one we must understand that although Jesus died for the sin of the whole world, not everyone will be saved. Salvation comes only to those who hears the gospel and takes it into their heart, thereby heeding its testimony and obeying its commands. And to add to this is realizing that we are given an Advocate, that is Christ Jesus Holy Spirit to work as a defense attorney before the tribunal. Most people do not see themselves as sinners or sinful, so they have no need for acquiring an "Advocate" to defend them from the "Evil" one. We must not continue to be deceived, so I say to each one of us, "call on the name of Jesus today and he will reveal the truth and the truth will set us free."
