Men, as creatures depending on their Creator, are called the sheep of his pasture. The church of God in the world is as a sheep-fold, exposed to deceivers and persecutors. Those who would have the comfort of the privilege, must make conscience of the duty Christ gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, (Titus_2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.) The church of Christ is like a dwelling: some furniture is of great value; some of smaller value, and put to meaner uses. It is necessary to our happiness that we believe in Christ, that we repent of sin, that we live a holy life, that we love one another. This is his will, even our sanctification. Let us take heed of resting in outward privileges and doings, lest we deceive ourselves, and perish eternally, as multitudes do, with a lie in our right hand. Let every one that names the name of Christ, depart from all sin. He has new desires, new pleasures, hopes, fears, sorrows, companions, and employments. His thoughts, words, and actions are changed. He enters on a new state, and bears a new character. Behold, all things are become new by Divine grace, which changes his soul into the image of the Redeemer. How different the character and end of the ungodly! Some mothers do neglect their children; but Gods compassions to his people, infinitely exceed those of the tenderest parents toward their children. His setting them as a mark on his hand, or a seal upon his arm, denotes his being ever mindful of them. Those who truly love Christ, are jealous of every thing that would draw them from him; especially of themselves, lest they should do any thing to provoke him to withdraw from them. If we love Christ, the fear of coming short of his love, or the temptations to forsake him, will be most painful to us. No waters can quench Christs love to us, nor any floods drown it. Let nothing abate our love to him. The anger of the Lord is contrasted with his goodness to his people. Perhaps they are obscure and little regarded in the world, but the Lord knows them. The Scripture character of Jehovah agrees not with the views of proud reasoners. The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is slow to wrath and ready to forgive, but he will by no means acquit the wicked; and there is tribulation and anguish for every soul that doeth evil: but who duly regards the power of his wrath? PRAY For lost Family and Friends who have turned away from God or are not Saved. Our time on earth is so short. We know not the hour in which He comes. Please accept JESUS CHRIST as your Savior and Repent of your Sins. Fall on your face before a Loving and Graceful Father. (Please, Stop thinking you are better then GOD. Stop thinking this world has more to offer then God does). Please do not wait, you know not the hour. If you stepped away from God and went to the World to look for pleasures. What is more important the things of God or things of this world? Just remember the things of this world will wither away. The only Pleasures to find is in Gods Word and living for Him. Living in this sinful world is not what God wants for you. God never wanted us to sleep with the devil. Just remember you will have to face God for all you have done and give account for your actions. I was reading that so many Christians that turned their lives over to God, and then went back into the world, All of their things before God will be burnt up. Wow, When I Heard that I was heart broken, I started to Cry. So is this sinful world worth it? please, I can show You how to accept Jesus Christ as your LORD AND SAVIOR right now.
