John 16:13-15 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you. Everything we need to know about truth is able to come to us from the Holy Spirit. He is our guide into all truth, and that is a promise. The authority that He speaks with is the authority of Jesus Christ. When you hear from the Holy Spirit, you hear from the Triune God. He cannot speak out of turn or anything that is false or in conflict with the perfect will of God. This picture of the integrated relationship between Father, Son, and Holy Spirit places on display the highest unity and love for one another.
