John 3:16 tells us “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whomsoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” Remember, we will all have eternal life. The choice is, “Where are YOU going to spend it?” What are you going to do with this man called Jesus? Admit you are a sinner in need of a Savior. Believe that Jesus paid the cost for your sins through His sacrificial death on the cross. Confess your sins to God and ask Him to forgive you. BUT…don’t stop there!!! Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ What that means is, YOU MUST REPENT! Turn from your sins, die to self, and follow Him. Even the demons believe and tremble (James 2:19) and THEY certainly aren’t going to Heaven! To just believe IS NOT ENOUGH. You must take up your cross, die to self, and follow His example. Put away the longings for the things of this world. Get your “wanter” fixed!! Remember, IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU. Strive to hear your Lord say, “Well done my good and faithful servant.” Not, “I never knew you.” Do you know Him? More than that, does He know you?
