John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” Jesus is the light of the world. The closer we draw to that light, the more it will expose our own dirtiness. When you open the blinds on a summer day, and can see all of the dust floating in the air, the light did not create the dust, but it exposed it. As the apostle Paul grew in his faith, we can observe an attitude towards his own sin change along the way. While in his earliest writing he refers to himself as the "least of the apostles", by the end of his life he was calling himself the "chief among sinners". Why did Paul have the change of heart? Because as He drew closer to Christ, the light of the world, he saw even more of his sins exposed. Draw near today and have Christ show you what sins you may need exposed and then hand them over to Him, to be covered by His blood.
