John 9:6 When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. Sometimes Jesus just spoke a few words and the sick were healed. Sometimes he placed His hands on them and they were healed. Sometimes He told them to go show themselves to the priests and as they went, they were healed. Here He uses “Clay and Spittle” to HEAL this blind man! But not A ONE of whom Jesus Touched or Spoke a Word TO Failed to get Healed! The Spittle or the Clay were not the Medical Cure, the real reason he got healed was Jesus Himself! Now, don’t miss-understand me, there some Natural Healings. But when Jesus is in the Healing, it is not the Method Used, it is the Power of Jesus USING THE METHOD OR Whatever Way He Chooses to Heal, Deliver and Set Free! It is not the Spittle or the Clay, it is Jesus! “He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva…” This then is a personal part of Jesus that is released as He mingles His own Saliva with some Soil; that earthly stuff from which we are all made! JESUS IN THIS VERY ACT, Reminds us of those First Moments of Creation when God personally breathed His Life into a Form of Lifeless Clay! The Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being, (Genesis 2:7NIV). NOW, If there is a natural body, THEN, there is also a spiritual body. “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a life- giving spirit. The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven. As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man, (1 Corinthians 15:44-49 NIV). Jesus spat on the Ground! Right Now in our very midst, Jesus had again formed clay by mingling the “Saliva” of His Word with our own Earthiness in this FACE BOOK Shared Experiences to Anoint the Darkened Eyes of our Hearts! As we wash our eyes in the cleansing pool of the forgiveness of Christ’s Redeeming Love, we can be given new eyes for our old ones; which is a Divine Illumination to light our way with the Blessings of the Lord!
