Fremont High School Class of 1984 30 Year Reunion August 8th through August 10th 2014, Los Angeles California Olympians Reunion Planning Newsletter (Issue #6) January 1, 2014 The Class of 1984 of John C. Fremont High School in Los Angeles, California would like to inform all “Olympians” that thirty (30) year reunion plans are underway, and the reunion will be held August 8th through August 10th 2014 in the Los Angeles, California area. We would love for you to come and connect with old friends, coaches, faculty and the administration of the “Mont.” The schedule of events is the following: 1. August 8, 2014 Meet & Greet Bonfire Beach Party at Dockweiler State Beach, with an after-party at The Savoy Entertainment Center in Inglewood, California (Pick-up Reunion Registration Packets); 2. August 9, 2014 Reunion Dinner Cruise & Dance on the Fantasea Yachts vessel christened the Dandeana in Marina Del Rey, California; 3. August 10, 2014 Family Picnic at Westchester Park in Los Angeles, California. The reunion committee has decided to have a 1980’s dress code (e.g., Fila, Ellesse, Sergio Tacchini, etc… sweatsuits, Jordache, Sergio Valente, Sasson, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, etc… jeans or shorts, et cetera) for the family picnic. We will be renting a yacht from Fantasea Yachts & Yacht Club (fantaseayachts/yachts/) in order to hold our main event, which will be a four (4) hour dinner cruise with exceptional entertainment on that Saturday night. As a result of the foregoing, the cost of the reunion will be $125 per person. There is no charge for your kids to attend the picnic on Sunday. To pay for the reunion, please go to the website we have set up at fremontclassof1984.eventbrite/. You can pay your registration fee(s) using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, eCheck, or PayPal via PayPal. All reunion payments are non-refundable. The reunion committee would like to thank Onya Horton-Jones, Pearl Boone, Brenda Johnson, Kenneth Pierce, John Sykes-Scott, Chris Frowner, Lynette Washington-Frowner, Ray Lawson and his wife, Deborah Moore-Watson, Leticia Johnson-Reed, Sandra Johnson-Roberts, Gwen Brown-Moore, Tamara Anderson-Banks, Regina Smith, Angela Phillips, Blanchie Hollier, Mark Thomas and his wife, LeTonya Carson-Wilder, Dorothy Prince-Calvert, Elaine Chandler, and Donnell Johnson for paying their registration fees. The next deadline to pay for the reunion is January 31, 2014 in order for the committee to collect all of the money we need to reserve all of the venues we will be using. Reunion registration will be allocated on a first come first served basis. We only have one hundred (100) slots available on the yacht, so please pay as soon as possible! The first thirty (30) Olympians to pay for the reunion, in full, will be entered into a raffle during our yacht dinner cruise to win a gift basket valued at $500. If you are one of the first thirty (30) Olympians to pay for the reunion, and you pay for a guest at the same time, your guest’s name will also be entered into the raffle. If you can’t afford to pay the whole $125 per person at once, you can pay $25 per person each month. We are now opening up registration to Pathfinders from other classes who have expressed an interest in participating in our reunion again. DON’T BE LEFT OUT OF YOUR OWN REUNION!!! The reunion committee is trying to obtain contact information for everyone in our class, so that we can keep you all informed of the reunion planning and pre-reunion events. Please spread the word to our classmates (that you stay in touch with or that you see around town) that this reunion will be the biggest and the best of the reunions we’ve had so far! For those classmates that have a business they would like to advertise, a business card they want to share for networking purposes, or for those that just want to give a “Shout Out” to someone, the reunion committee is putting together a reunion program. Each class member that pays his or her registration fee(s) will be provided a copy of the program in their registration packet(s) at the Bonfire Beach Party or The Savoy Entertainment Center that Friday night. The cost to advertise in the program is as follows: 1. $20 Business Card; 2. $35 Quarter Page; 3. $50 Half Page; 4. $100 Full Page.
