John Carpenter - The Master of Horrors 1996 follow up to 1981s - TopicsExpress

John Carpenter - The Master of Horrors 1996 follow up to 1981s Escape from New York, both starring Kurt Russell as bad-ass, eye patch wearing, action anti-hero Snake Plissken - a man who makes people who first meet him, and know of his exploits ask I thought you were dead!? This film also serves as remake of the first film. This was a flop at the box office upon its release. While it isnt as iconic as Escape from New York it is still very entertaining, has its silly and cheesy moments but its not trying to be a fully serious action film. I love the new rendition of the Escape from New York main theme: https://youtube/watch?v=nJcdI1CyoBI I first saw this when I was about thirteen years old, and it was also the movie to introduce me to Rob Zombie, then part of White Zombie, whose band has a song on the soundtrack, and played during the end credits of the film called The One: https://youtube/watch?v=mGXor0yPdXo
