John Hans Huseby -A great loss to our family A personal perspective from Veronica. On Saturday we lost a staunch supporter of South Miami. Hans was an amazing man, he never had a negative word to say about others. He worked in a very positive way assisting his family, community, his business, and anyone that he could. He was a pioneer in the sport of running in Miami. He was an amazing contributor to the Red Sunset Merchants Associates for many years. He provided great support for the Santas Parade of Elves and for Safe Streets Halloween. Hans would come in the bank nearly everyday. One thing that you could count on is that he would bring a smile to the faces of each of the bank staff members he would encounter. Hans, his family and his business have been clients for decades. We will miss his spirit and his quick smile and pleasantries. When the Mayor called me at 6:30 on Saturday evening I was left in a state of disbelief. Knowing how much Hans was loved I sent a text to a few of our officers. Quotes included... I feel gut punched. I refuse to believe this tragedy Hans? No! He is a beacon of life and light! Hans was incredible human being. He will be so missed. OMG! I cannot believe this! It is crazy and sad. OMG! I am in shock. He was a picture of health and happiness. We will never forget you Hans. Our prayers are that you rest is peace. Laurie and the entire family is in our prayers. The family will have a visitation at Stanfill Funeral Homes (10545 SOUTH DIXIE - good idea to carpool - Hans has so many firends!) From 6-9 Monday December 1.
