John Horgan as committed that the provincial NDP, should we form government, will put proportional representation back on the table. We will determine the best system through consultation and then, with an independent third party managing he education of the public on the implications, rather than two sides campaigning, we will put it to referendum. This federal petition calls for proportional representation at the federal level. Other reforms we will bring to BC will include eliminating corporate and union donations to parties, ensure all government advertising be reviewed an approved by the Auditor General to ensure it is non-partisan (the BC Liberals spent $17 million promoting just their jobs plan in the lead up to the 2013 election) and reinvigoration of the multi-party parliamentary committee process.
