John Junior Smith, age 80 of Lebanon, passed away August 12, 2013 at his residence. He was born June 3, 1933 in Marion County. He was a retired Farmer and member of New Life Christian Church in Bradfordsville. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Adrian and Lee Ada Riley Smith, one son, Joseph Michael Smith and one sister, Margie Wilkerson. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Shirley Yates Smith, one daughter, Darlene Skaggs of Lebanon, four sons, Johnny Smith (Debbie), Steven Smith (Brenda) and Tim Smith (Julia) all of Lebanon, Paul Smith (Dana) of Bardstown, 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Robert Lee Smith of Florida and Glen Ray Smith of Lebanon. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, followed by interment in the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Fredericktown. Bro. Herb Goff will officiate. Visitation will be 3-9 PM Tuesday at Mattingly Funeral Home.
