John King & his testing experts are scheduled to hold a press conference today. The objective is clear- to protect the test. The testing experts have a ve$ted interest in gaining back public trust. An entire testing industry depends on it. King also has much to lose. He refused to listen & left the parents without much of a choice. The King, who apparently cannot be fired, is about to fall at the hands of the parents. King & co will get up on that soapbox one last time before the test, but their rhetoric can no longer support their lies. Parents have become well educated in this battle. Kings lies from last year will be quickly debunked and it will be clear that he is not acting in the best interest of our children. If he comes out and claims this test measures college & career readiness - he will be asked for proof & it simply doesnt exist. If he comes out and claims it is 1 measure & nothing to worry about- we are forced to wonder why it takes 500 mins, costs millions of dollars, is tied so heavily into teacher performance, and has a passing rate of 30%. Why is this 1 measure weighed more heavily & more costly than all others? John King will speak, the parents will answer!
