John Lennon said Being honest may not get you a lot of friends but it’ll always get you the right ones. As Ive gotten older and been through some things, life has educated me in ways I never dreamt of. Some of it has been good; in fact, through self-awareness and the hard-earned ability to realize I am not always right, most of it has been good. Some of it has been negative, and had a long term affect on the way I think about and react to others. Along the way, I have learned that I like being remorselessly honest with the people I interact with. Some can handle it and some cannot; being honest has certainly taken its toll on what I thought was my Tried, Tested & True friends list. However, at this point in my life, knowing that the list is much shorter but much more indisputable brings me a feeling of contentment & satisfaction. After all, we only need 6 for pall-bearers.
