John Lennon was born October 9, 1940. Of course we all know about him, so no point writing much, or posting famous Beatles songs. Instead gonna post 3 from the Plastic Ono Band record, his first solo record after the Beatles. That was the record influenced by primal scream therapy; the therapy he was undergoing at the time. This involved going back to his most primal, basic, rawest memories and feelings; and literally screaming out the pain from them. He did this on record too, the songs on the record have titles like God, Love, Mother, with very simple stripped down lyrics (just straight basic lyrics, no attempts at the clever and poetic), and music, and with Lennon literally screaming at the top of his lungs at times, such as the last 2 minutes of this one, which is about his feelings of abandonment from his mother. youtube/watch?v=Eto7S-oBErk
