John Lennon was just explaining to Dick Cavett how there was much - TopicsExpress

John Lennon was just explaining to Dick Cavett how there was much more pressure on them to be the Beatles than the public ever really got to see. John talked about how the movie, A Hard Days Night, was scripted after just three days of observing the bands performances in London and Dublin. Dick was making a point that most people regard the carefree and flitting around persona from the movie as what life was really like for them. I believe its something to consider seeing actual professionals at the top of their game under real pressure, at work, as in these clips here on Youtube. Notice in the icon for the video, record producer G. Martin standing with his arms crossed, breathing down the bass players neck (I remember his name being Yoko ... or Faul ... I forget). I would think their work ethic took a great deal of confidence and respect about the art form. It can often times be difficult to realize exactly what one is selling and to whom.
