John Lennon wasnt my favorite Beatles. He did write some kick-ass music. Today he would have been 74. Unfortunately, his life was cut short when he was shot 34 years ago. Five years before, he had finally started to enjoy life. In 1975, he sobered up somewhat, he finally got the US government to stop his deportation process and issue him a Green Card and after several miscarriages, Yoko and John finally had a son, Sean, born on Johns birthday as well. In fact, Sean will be as old as John was when he died next year. Also in 1975,this song became a hit for Lennon. Its a song that got me through some hard times in life.
