John Lewis understands the value of continuing education and training and wants to continue to ensure that the men and women of the Sheriffs Office receive the best training available. Training is the key to liability reduction and the delivery of quality service to our citizens. In addition to his technical law enforcement training, he possess a well-rounded background. I believe this is an important quality, as the Sheriff must understand and have the skill set necessary to perform the administrative duties and functions beyond law enforcement responsibilities, much like a CEO of a company.
