John Lydon: “We slept in one room,” he says. “And bit by bit I see that coming back. “What is it with this bedroom tax? They are sending us back to that. They want to squash every working class person up in one bedroom, lock the door and throw away the key. “But why are people standing for it? We need a revolution. Not an ‘off with their heads’ revolution. A quiet revolution. One where everyone lays down their tools and refuses to do one more bit of work until they start treating working class people properly again. That is the only way that we will get anything done – withdrawing our labour.”
