John and I are working on a sleep study project for one of our clients and we are looking to recruit some more participants for the study. We are looking for people who are within 25 miles of Oaks, PA and are ages 25-30 or ages 50-55. Please see the eligibility requirements below. If interested in more information, please email me at jtroppello@gmail. Participants who are chosen, will receive $500 compensation for participating in the study. Eligibility: Each participant will receive guidelines from the American Sleep Counsel regarding preparation for their part in the sleep study. • Ages: 25 – 30 of ages 50 - 55 • Genders: Male and female (couples and singles) • In good health as evaluated by study coordinator • English speaking and reading • Weight between 120 – 225 lbs. • Height between 60 – 75 inches • Have a standardized mattress in their own home (no greater than 3 years old) Exclusion Criteria: Subjects with a BMI of > 30 kg/m2 will not be included. Subjects will also be excluded if they are not willing to participate in all aspects of the study, including the home sleep polysomnography, or are not willing to sign informed consent. Subjects with any underlying chronic medical condition that may affect sleep quality will be excluded from the study. This will include subjects with: • Known obstructive sleep apnea or Hypoventilation syndrome • Underlying COPD or Congestive heart failure or Prior history of CVA • Neurologic or medical illness with back pain or Back related surgery • Psychiatric disease or Substance abuse or Rheumatoid Arthritis • Pregnancy (self or partner) or Parent of child under 2 • Night-shift worker or Frequent traveler • Sleep-affecting medications or Recent surgery or recent physical trauma • Fibromyalgia or Scoliosis or Spinal stenosis or Sciatica • Spondylolisthesis or Spondyloarthropathy or Vertebral Fractures • Pending or prior litigation for pain issue • Corticosteroid use in the last 90 days
