John and I had a great trip to Wisconsin for the United Plant - TopicsExpress

John and I had a great trip to Wisconsin for the United Plant Savers conference--learned a lot and had some free time to canoe the Kickapoo river and hike the Pisgah Mt at Wildcat State Park. Have a few more possible herbal allies to explore and met a couple people I may want to study with--always so much to learn! Also was very impressed with the farms in SW Wis--integrated fields of soy, corn, clover, pastured animals--rather than the monoculture we so often see in IN and Ohio. Organic Valley is a big part of the area--and it seems to be a very good thing. The small towns were clean and well kept --neither extreme of huge Mc Mansions or slum houses. As we left and got closer to Madison we saw a small town that was the opposite--and it seemed to be dominated by a big Nestle plant--hmmm, coincidence?
