John and I went to dinner at Steak and Shake tonight. The sweetest little old couple was sitting right next to us. She was blind and deaf, and he was deaf. He was a wonderful caretaker. They were signing to each other (he would sign in her hands), and pretty soon he started talking to us by writing on a napkin. He was really talkative too! He told me about his wife being blind and that they will be married 47 years on August 26th. He has 2 kids and 7 grandchildren. They were just precious. What an amazing couple!
