John begins Revelation 15 saying that he sees a great and amazing sign seven angels each with a bowl of God’s wrath. That vision though begins with something beautiful in verses 2-4 “And I saw what appeared to be a sea of glass mingled with fire—and also those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name, standing beside the sea of glass with harps of God in their hands. 3 And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations! 4 Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.” I love how John describes the saints that come out of the tribulation, “those who had conquered” The beast was conquered by Jesus, but also by the Believers! Believers are not powerless and weak. Kindness, goodness, self-control joy, and the aspects of Love, also known as the Fruits of the Spirit are not signs of weakness but signs of God’s great power in us using our weaknesses to His glory. The saints will be at war then and we are at war now. We are battling Satan for the souls of people all around us. We are fighting the enemy so that we can be all we are meant to be for Jesus. Romans 8:31-39 tells us this. If God is with us, who can be against us? No one can even bring a charge against us! We are more than conquerors and NOTHING can separate us from the love of God! Believer, stop living defeated. Stop letting the enemy have his way with you! You have God on your side. You have the deep love and wisdom of The Father, the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the salvation and authority of Jesus Christ. What more do you need? You win! Stop living defeated. That is a lie from the father of lies, the deceiver of mankind. He will stop at nothing to stop you from being who you can be for God. So often all he has to do is whisper lies to you. God doesn’t believe those charges. Why do you? Use the love, the power and the authority God gave you to be the conqueror He made you.
