John, sending you this because you asked for it. Transcript: Frank: There has been some just downright lies that have come out that have been told... So, uh, if you have any questions... uh, I havent taken any money from... drug dealers. ...none. Whatsoever. Uh... and if one had given me a bunch of money because, uh, like they said - I wouldnt be running for Sheriff... ...id be running for the border. So, uh, I, I, I... [ ] have my wife Amanda over here... Uhm... this, shes my 4th one, so, I have - that IS the truth. Shes my 4th wife. So, and shes a good one. Uh, I have made some mist-- bad choices... and, I think we all have. So... uh... Theres a rumor going out there that Ive had a PFA (Protection From Abuse) served on me at some point in my life. Ive got paperwork over here to show you everything that, that Ive been served with. I also, uh... theres a rumor going around that MS Industries (strip mining) has sent me money. They did send me money. I sent it back to em - I got a copy of everything right over here, uh... s- and... and... if I had taken some... [...] and you want to see my contributors, well sit down and talk about, uh, each one of em And I do... if you hear these LIES, uh, I challenge everybody... to make em prove it. And I challenge everybody right now... that if you hear any- all this stuff - prove it. Anybody got any questions? Ed: You said you sent back the money to MS Industries? Frank: I did. Ed: Well, I contacted them yesterday, and both supervisors pulled up their records and proved that you did cash the check July 24. Frank: I... I did cash the check. Frank: ...but Ill show you right here where I sent it back to em. Ed: Well, they are telling ME that you cashed the check on July 24th. Frank: Ill be glad to show you what Ive got. Ed: So you are saying that you did send the check back? Frank: I did send it back to em. Ed: Okay... Frank: I didnt send the check - I cashed the check [not disclosed]. but I bought a cashiers check with that money. [also not disclosed] Frank: So I have proof. Ed: Well, I even asked them that. They have not seen the money back from you. Frank: Ill show you. If you want to see it, Ill be glad to show you. Ed: Okay. [Frank left immediately after the meeting without giving anyone an opportunity to look at any records that he supposedly brought.] Frank: Anybody else? Random Citizen: During the last few years, having a son and son in law in the military, and some of them in a very serious situation... ...I guess politics has become a lot more important to me. One of those things that I like to find out is [...] where the money is coming from for these rural candidates... Uh... and this is a matter of public record, that you do have a business that as of August the 18th, 2014... ...has sent you $25,947.50 - it came from White Oak Farms. Frank: well sit down and talk- RC: as a group, and these are guys that- Frank: (interrupting) Ill sit down - Ill sit down - Ill sit- RC: (to moderator) - can I continue? M: yes RC: I know these people have been in trouble with the law before. It worries me and it concerns me, as a citizen of this city, when I see that kind of money funneling into a candidate. RC: To you, to Mr. Andrews, Mr. Bedford, or anybody else. When I see people of that - in that situation, giving that much money, which as of August 18th, ...was 63% of the money you had received - of that total. THAT really concerns me. I mean, Ive only got one vote, but its my vote. And I want to make sure I vote for the right person. Frank: Not ONE of my contributors has been charged with a felony, and the guy that was supporting me, it wasnt that he was for me, but that he was against the other guy. Frank: So, uh, and he understands and I told him up front, that, and I talked to him, and you can go down and talk to him... ... that there were no promises made. The only thing he ever asked for is to be fair. And I did promise him that. And I did tell him - weve got the letter of the law to go by, and that we cant do anything, and thats what he wanted to do with his money, so thats what we can do, but I promised him there would be no Republican... [...] (somebody: for $25,000...) Frank: And, Ill sit down with you one on one and each one and go over every one of my contributors - [...] lie - they has not been - they was not charged with [...]... [noise...] Frank: Anybody? Ed: Excuse me. You say you are conservative? Frank: I am very conservative. Ed: Did you sign the Democratic Pledge? Frank: I... I signed the Alabama Pledge, but I havent... Frank: But I have no- I am NOT a national Democrat. I am an Alabama Democrat, I intend to stay a Democrat until our... ...guys that fought, some of them died for this, most of them, but not the majority of them, ARE Democrats. Theyre conservative. [silence] Ed: So you didnt sign Billy Underwoods pledge? Frank: I... I- I did not sign anything, that I would support anything on a national level. [silence] Random Citizen 2: How can you be a Democrat, and not support...? Frank: That is for the national level - I do not support Obama. RC2: And youre still a Democrat even though you dont support them? Frank: I am a Democrat, and I will be as long as these guys that fought and died for it -until they change. Frank left immediately after the meeting and did not give anyone an opportunity to look over the paperwork he repeatedly claimed hed brought and encouraged people to look at. He said he would go over it with everyone individually and go over all his donors - he did not. This video was recorded by Ed Bowman, Vice President of the North Alabama Tea Party Patriots.
