Johnny Cash Home Sells for $2 Million The house that Johnny Cash and June Carter called their home for over 40 years has now been sold. It was sold by Bee Gee, Barry Gibb, and his wife Linda. The two purchased the home with the intent of using it to spark their songwriting. The seven-bedroom house was built in 1968 and was purchased by Gibb and his wife for only $2.3 million. They had originally planned on renovating and restoring the home and were almost finished in 2007 when a fire destroyed most of the structure. After that the couple decided to change their plans and build a new home. They also decided it was best to preserve what was left of Cash’s home. Long live Johnny Cash - We think this house belongs on the Country Music Hall of Fame!
