Johnnys View 8/13 (Day 20) 1) Christmas arrived again today for Chewy and the Stoll clan with more cards, gift cards, packages with assorted goodies, and games.📬🎁🎄...unbelievable! 2) Our entire family has been so very fortunate and grateful for all the various forms of support weve received like those mentioned above but also with the kind words and prayers, the meals, gifts, various donations, brief calls and visits, help back home feeding Jax 🍗 🍕 🍲 and helping with the house and the Ders🐶. 3) ...but lets not forget the world class medical support starting with the lifeguards and paramedics at the beach, now 20 days ago, up through the top specialists around that are still directing his care and treatment and, as of today, will continue to do so going forward because they feel its in his best interest. 4) Chewy is still resting well after his procedure today and the drain is slowly doing its job...Ive got all appendages crossed that things continue to go smoothly through the night for him. 💤 5) Chewy got what we hope to be his last blood transfusion of this marathon stay this evening.....that would be yet another key event to check off. ☑️ 6) Chewy, Nanc and I are very pleased and at ease now that his OHSU A-team and Organ team want to see him all the way through this until complete recovery....3 hours is nothing for tests, monitoring and any procedures needed. They also assured us theyd airlift him back if it was deemed appropriate. We were struggling with losing all the first hand experience they have gained about his treatments and behavior that you cant fully put into reports if he was transferred. 7) chewy said tonight the new drain is helping and hes hungry for the first time since the fall 8) ....and now watching the movie Thor he has polished off a plate of homemade lasagna, a pint of fresh raspberries, string cheese, and two otter pops😯...cant find emoticons for all that! 9). The Chewster now up 20-nil!!⚽️And getting stronger💪 10) as we reflect on the 20 days since his fall, We are in awe of our good fortune that so many things have gone right to get Chewy to this stage...and completely overwhelmed and humbled by the support Chewy and our entire family has received...we have been showered with far more acts of kindness and goodwill in 3 weeks than any family deserves ...and they have far outweighed what we ourselves have done for others in our lives up to this point....we are truly blessed and Chewy will win this battle because of his fight and because of all your folks faith, love and support. Chewy you are blessed...and have brought out the best in so many people. Luv ya Dad
