Join CNU Illinois and the Illinois Chapter of the Students for the New Urbanism for a Pop-up Urban Design Studio at the Open Books Literacy Center in Chicago on September 21. Planning and design students from DePaul, Judson, and UIC are invited to participate in intercollegiate teams for a two-hour, peer-led charrette to envision new uses for a brownfield site in Rockford, Illinois. Design and planning professionals are invited to join the students for a one-hour salon-style review at the conclusion of the charrette. The event is free, however registration is required.
