Airbnb, the online tourist rental middleman is also mobilizing for the hearing to spread misinformation and we need to combat them. The hearing will be a chance for council members to hear from community members, housing advocates and other elected officials about the impact of illegal hotels. We also anticipate that City officials from FDNY, DoB, HPD and the Mayor’s office will speak. We also are teaming up with the new alliance to fight illegal hotels, Share Better, for a press conference on the steps of City Hall that morning at 10am, so you should come around 9:30am. Now is your chance to speak up about illegal hotels! **Note** At 9:00 AM, Airbnb will be hosting a Pro-Short-Term Rental rally outside City Hall.
