After more than a decade spent in Austria working as a professor for the University in Graz, Professor of Jazz Composition at the Conservatory of Music in Luzerne, Switzerland and touring Europe and Japan as a conductor and soloist, Ed is returning to the states to record his seminal jazz orchestra album with his NeuHat Ensemble. Ed is best known for his work as a jazz composer and orchestrator. His group, the Ed Neumeister Jazz Orchestra, Ed Neumeister Quintet and the Mona Lisa trio are filled with some of the biggest names in jazz today including, Bob Mintzer, John Beasley, Edwin Livingston, John Hollenbeck and Peter Erskine. He has worked as a professional film orchestrator on major Hollywood films such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Sherlock Holmes, Madagascar 3, The Dark Knight Rises, Inception and many, many more.
