April 28, 18:00 -22:00 PM at Hotel Das Triest, Wiedner Hauptstrasse 12, Wien, Austria Google_Geo_EGU 2014The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geosciences. The EGU General Assembly 2014 will bring together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary and space sciences. This workshop is intended for scientists, researchers, students and faculty who regularly work with geospatial data. You will gain hands-on introductory experience with Google’s Geo cloud technologies including Google Earth Engine and Google Maps Engine. Ideal participants will meet one or more of the following requirements: Demonstrated ability to make effective use of Google geospatial technology within a research or academic setting. Currently working on geo/mapping-related projects Intermediate-to-advanced technical experience in one or more of the following areas: GIS and/or Remote Sensing Google Earth, Maps, Maps Engine or Earth Engine Web/multimedia development Programming for Google Geo APIs Deadline: The deadline for registration is March 26, 2014. Cost: Attendance is free. A light meal will be provided free to participants. How to Registar: Attendance to this hands-on workshop is limited. Acceptance notifications will be sent out by March 31st.
