PANGARAP PH is a long-term endeavor that the Peoples Television Network aims to create in order to serve as the conveyor of the Filipino peoples dreams, aspirations and perspective for the country. ► Why Pangarap PH? With the emergence of social networking sites and Internet hubs, we have heard the voices of the people reacting towards national issues of the country. We have seen how powerful the netizens are, on things that touch them most. The people have been using their personal accounts to join public forums and online communities, engaging in socio-political talks among themselves. The power of public opinion is immense that it could sway decision-making and lift people into action. What more, if it would be put into good use? What more, if it would be utilized by the government in connecting more with their true boss -- the Filipino people. ►What is the project of Pangarap PH for the year 2014? A nationwide online, amateur video competition for the youth where in they are to produce a short video detailing their aspirations and dreams for the country in terms of technological, political and socio-economic issues. ► How long should my video entry be? Your entry should run for no longer than 60-seconds or 1 minute. ► What video file format should I submit? These are the preferred video formats: avi., .mp4, .wmv, .mov, and .flv ► Who can join this contest? An entry can be produced by one participant (solo), or a maximum of three (3) members per production team. The contest will be comprised of three categories: Junior Category -- where as high schools students of all year levels are welcome to join. Main Category -- open for all college students of all year levels that are taking up any course. Open Category -- open for all youths from ages 12 to 24 years old. ► When should I send my video entry? Submission begins on August 1, 2014 and ends on September 30, 2014. ► Where should I send my entry? Participants are to submit their videos directly to PTV. There are three possible ways of submission. 1. Electronic mail: You can email us at pangarap.ph@gmail 2. Google Drive sharing: In case of a big video file, you may ‘share’ your video to the same e-mail address of PTV indicated above. 3. Direct submission of CDs and DVDs in a long, brown envelope to PTV station located at Broadcast Complex, Visayas Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City. ► What should be included in my video entry? On submitting, be sure to include the following information: · Title of the contest: Pangarap PH and Category · Name of participants · Address, contact number and e-mail address · Age · Year level, section, course (for Junior and Main category) · Name of school or university (for Junior and Main category) · School address and contact number (for Junior and Main category) · Title of the video · Message of the video Participants shall receive a message confirming that PTV has received their submitted video. ► Can I upload my video entry on my own profile or social media account? PTV will upload their videos on its gallery and will not honour any videos that were uploaded on any other personal account as part of the competition ► How will my video entry be judged? Videos will be judged by the following: 50% Content 25% Editing and Cinematography 25% Impact ► Who will judge my entry? WAVE 1: Preliminary screening of all the submitted materials. From these, we will select the TOP 30 participants who will enter the next screening. Duration: August 1 - September 30, 2014 WAVE 2: Final screening on the Top 30 finalists will be done by professionals. Duration: October 1 - November 30, 2014. Can I win prizes and awards? There will be one (1) winner for Junior Category. There will also be one (1) winner only for the Open Category. For the Main Category, three (3) winners will be selected. People’s Choice Award – goes to the video with most views (Youtube) and likes (Facebook). Texters Choice Award -- goes to the video with most text votes.
