Join Roan Mountain State Park on Thursday, July 31 for a day of fun activities, including: 4 p.m. - Campfire Cookin Join Amanda at the campground campfire ring to see a demonstration of easy campfire fare. Bring your favorite camping recipes for a recipe swap. A chair is recommended for your comfort, but not required. 8:30 p.m. - Crepuscular Creatures After the sun goes down, the forest trails come alive with the sounds, smells and sensations of the night. Explore the park in the dark…the differences are like night and day! Meet Amanda at campground check-in. Wear appropriate footwear for a hike up a moderately difficult trail.
