Join West Chester Township and other community organizations and businesses that will be collaborating for Pi Day in the Lakota schools. This evening, there will be wacky hands-on math and science stations, crazy equations and modern computer programs targeted to students from kindergarten through eighth grade. Activities run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. March 14 at the Lakota East Freshman Campus, 7630 Bethany Lane, in Liberty Township. “Lakota continues to look for ways to bring the STEAM2 – science technology, engineering, applied arts and design, math and the medical field – to life for our students,’’ said Lon Stettler, who put together the program. “Much of our classroom work focuses on STEAM2.” At some of the stations students will program a video game, maneuver a robot, experiment with dry ice, and view Jupiter through a high-power telescope, states Sue Kiesewetter with the Enquirer. There is no cost to participate.
