Join in the Kick-Off of the Burlington Parks & Recreation Master Plan! Melissa Cate – Parks and Rec. Dept., Burlington The Burlington Department of Parks & Recreation is embarking on the City’s first-ever comprehensive master plan for the entire parks system and recreation program. Several community events will be held on Wednesday, June 12, led by led by our consultant team of Heller + Heller and Sasaki Associates. Wednesday, June 12: Mornings with Miro, 8-9:00 AM at the Bagel Cafe. Start out the morning at the Bagel Cafe (1127 North Ave) for Mornings with Miro! Join the Mayor and the Parks Master Plan team for coffee and good conversation related to this planning process. We will also introduce the new Parks Master Plan website… Wednesday, June 12: Community Open House, 12:00 PM-5:30 PM at Contois Auditorium. The open house will be the first of several opportunities to share feedback and thoughts on the future of the Burlington parks and recreation system directly with the parks master plan team. Stop in to meet them! Wednesday, June 12: Public Forum & Charette, 7:00 PM-8:30 PM, at Contois Auditorium. This forum will feature a brief overview of the parks master planning process - and be followed by an opportunity to engage in five interactive stations developed around specific parks and recreation-related topics.
