Sending all my love, Angie Cartwright Story: Loss of sibling, loss of newlywed husband, loss of mother to drug overdose, family suicide, family homicide Angie Cartwright first experienced profound loss at the early age of four when she found her 11 month-old baby sister dead in her crib. Angie’s childhood was filled with abuse, neglect, foster care, domestic violence, family addictions, and suicides. Angie then lost her newlywed husband in a car accident at age 21, and then her mother in 2010, from an accidental drug overdose. Learning the hard way that grievers are often misunderstood, Angie is committed to help change how our culture understands and views grief. She founded National Grief Awareness Day to help promote grief awareness and education, and harnessed the power of social media to offer a safe and private place for grievers to share their heartache via Grief the Unspoken, now reaching over 2 million people every week. She co-hosts Grief Diaries radio show and television show, authors a grief blog, and serves as board president of National Grief Awareness Day. She is also co-host of the new television newsmagazine Insight TV.
