Join me on a trip to the devils court For a peep on his manuscript And if possible the transcript To decode that which he encrypt For now the prophesy of innuendoes Is being made in the meadows With shadows sitting round the table Ready to strike men and create widows On the lamp post the agents perch Watching the implausible wisdom of sons of men As they read lampoons of the devil And the tale of his downfall He called it exaggeration The reason why men never learn Why they fall in Eden Talk more of the betrayal of their saviour He knows of mens quotidian existence Always moving along a meridian Afraid of becoming JOB Or being tied like Samson with a rope Look! The pages of the manuscript Who can read; who can avert On the first page, the word pleasure Who can decode, who can understand Power, Greed, Lust Among others to the end Yet in the deepest hole of your mind A bunch of doubt hangs Was there a trip to the devils court? Were the shadows unaware of the peep? Did they encrypt the transcript? Does the devils manuscript exist? For more poems, Click poemsweb.blogspot.nl/2014/09/judgement-of-gods.html?m=1
