Join me on the picket line (Ill be there on the 12th) at Kaiser in Santa Rosa, 7pm, to support our nurses. Many of you saw the video recently of nurses being viciously attacked by a deranged patient. Nurses are sometimes spit on, hit, even punched and worse. Kaiser nurses are fighting to include the issue of workplace violence in their contract, among other crucial issues. Trust me, if you end up in the hospital, it is the nurses who are there day in and day out, fighting for their patients; I stand with them because they stand with us when we are at our most vulnerable.
