Join the Beaver County Historical Research and Landmarks Foundation for a special presentation at our Applebutter Fest from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, October 18. Who is this Stone? Almost everyone visits a cemetery at one point of time in their lives. Do we take the tombstones for granted, or do we wonder about the cultural heritage and architectural design the stone represents. Who is the person that is underneath the stone? What genealogical information does the stone provide about that person? Dr. Suzanne Vogel-Scibilia will explore some of the more unique tombstones that were set between 1840 and 1960 through photos and archival data.
