Join the Canadian County Democrats for a presentation by Oklahoma Family Literacy Program educator Liz Parker from 7-8:30 p.m. on Monday, July 14. We meet in the conference room at the Yukon Police Department, located at 100 S. Ranchwood Boulevard (next to the skating rink). Parker has taught for 15 years in Oklahoma Family Literacy Program in Oklahoma City Public Schools. She works with Hispanic mothers and their pre-school children help the mothers learn English and develop parenting skills critical to their children’s success in school. A life-long Democrat, Parker has lived in Midwest City for 35 years. She has worked on political campaigns with the Eastern Oklahoma County Democrats for 30 years, serving as precinct chair and co-chair of House District 101.
