Join the Ricky Hunter Big Band for their grand launch and charity dance which will take place at Notts County Football Club on Saturday 10th May 2014. Professional trumpeter and vocalist Ricky has recently established this new 19 piece big band which features talented musicians from the Nottinghamshire area including the vocal talents of Miss Jayne Darling. The band will be recreating the wonderful sounds and atmosphere of the big band and swing era featuring hits made famous by Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day and arguably the greatest band leader of all time Glenn Miller plus many more. The night will be in support of local leukaemia charity the Karen Green Foundation. The Foundation is a Nottingham based charity working to raise funds for organisations and individuals researching, treating and fighting leukaemia and cancers of the blood. The Foundation was launched in 2012 in memory of Karen Green who bravely lost her battle to Leukaemia in July 2011.
