Join thousands of New Yorkers across the state on Tuesday, June 11 and urge our Senators to pass the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act (GENDA) in 2013. All it takes is a quick phone call. Our Senators won’t act if they don’t hear from us. Here’s how: 1) Find your Senator’s name and phone number. Go here: nysenate.gov. Enter your address in the top left. 2) Make the call to their Albany office. 3) Tell the staffer or leave a message stating “I support the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act (the bill number is S.195). Please pass this important bill this year.” 4) Spread the word! Encourage your friends, family, and community members to call. The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force has worked with ESPA on getting GENDA passed for years. We encourage our New York membership to make a call and get this done. Please voice your support for transgender equality.
