Join us!!! First Annual “Battle of the Clubs” CrossFit Competition Join us at the Little Rock Athletic Club on February 15th, 12:00p on the gym floor to celebrate, participate, and cheer for the first ever Battle of the Clubs, CrossFit competition. We invite any/all Little Rock Athletic Club, North Little Rock Athletic Club, and Little Rock Racquet Club CrossFit members to come compete against each other to earn their Club the right to be called Club CrossFit Champion! All participants need to be signed up and registered through Michael.Sowell34@yahoo by Monday February 10th @ 9:00p. Please title your email “Battle of the Club Entry” and provide your name, phone contact and simply state that you would like to register. Michael will take it from there! If you’re on the fence about signing up to participate, DON’T BE! This event is about FUN above all else! It’s not about being the best, but being the best you’ve been yet! And really, it’s just a WOD like you do every other day, but you’ve got a DJ and people cheering you on, and there will be a beer waiting for you at the end!! We encourage you to come out, represent your Club, and do what we do best; LIFT STUFF and GROAN! Competitors from each Club will compete in two WODs, scored directly by CrossFit coaches and judges, and take home the title by having the highest score from their top two competitors. This is an “open event” so everyone is welcome to sign up and/or come down to cheer your Club on! Please wear your respective Club shirts to show your colors! Your family is also welcome to come! From 12p-3p family will be allowed in for free! All attendees, family and competitors will get a wristband that will allow them to get FREE fajitas and beer from the Blue Court Grill for the duration of the competition! Justinsane will be our guest DJ for this event, pumping the tunes to set the groove! It’s going to be a blast, so don’t miss it! WOD #1 AMLAP: 5 min (As much Load As Possible) Snatch: 4 min Deadlift: 1 min For this WOD: (weight x reps) = score, and you will be doing the same weight for both the Snatch and Deadlift. So you will need to decide how heavy you want to lift. A heavier bar will mean fewer reps, but a lighter bar will be less points per rep. Where’s your sweet spot between the two? WOD #2 AMRAP: 8min 15 Wall Balls Bear Crawl 30’ 5 Box Jumps @20” Bear Crawl 30’ For this WOD: total Wall Ball reps = score. Everything else is just a deterrent to you scoring more points. You are forced to bear crawl and jump on a box, then bear crawl back before you can score more points. In this WOD, every second is going to count… So, dont delay! Register today!!
