Join us Monday evening Novermber 24th as we begin an eleven session DVD presentation of Constitition Alive. Grassroots Presents FREE Constitution Seminar Grassroots of Van Zandt County will be presenting Constitution Alive! a free 11 session video DVD series that will teach on the meaning and purpose of the Constitution. We will go article-by-article through the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and learn about executive orders, recess appointments, the Electoral College, the powers of Congress and the President, freedom of religion, and much more. This video series was shot on location in the amazing Wallbuilders library of original documents and in Independence Hall. Rick Green and David Barton are the creators of this informative series. Future scheduled dates will be provided at the first session. Questions that will be answered: What percentage of legislators can name the three branches of government? At the 1st Constitutional Convention, what source was quoted the most? How many of the 27 grievances in the Declaration of Independence against King George can you name? Founding Father John Jay, an author of the Federalist Papers and the original Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, wisely recommended: “Every member of the State ought diligently to read and to study the constitution. . . By knowing their rights, they will sooner perceive when they are violated, and be the better prepared to defend and assert them.” This is a perfect class for high school students, college students and county patriots to gain a deep understanding of these founding documents in a fun way. Class workbooks are available at Amazon or RickGreen. The book cost $12 to $15 and is beneficial but not absolutely necessary.
