Join us as we Celebrate the 2014 Magical Circle Inductee Hilina Ajakaiye. Hilina is Operations Manager for Stop & Shop’s New England Division, overseeing special projects for 213 stores. Hilina is a dynamic leader with a remarkable knack for engaging talent and getting associates to reach their highest levels of performance. Hilina has a history of overcoming long odds and executing without flaw. A native of Ethiopia, she immigrated to the United States in 1987, perfected English as a second language, and simultaneously graduated with her high school diploma and an Associate’s Degree at age 17. She then continued her education at UMass Dartmouth where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English Communication and Writing at only 20 years old. Hilina is an adoring wife and mother of two. She consistently imparts the importance of community service and volunteers as a Big Sister and is Vice President of the Board of Directors for Progreso Latino.
